II’m a designer and storyteller who weaves whakapapa, culture, and identity into every gown I create. After years of honing my craft in Australia, I returned home to Aotearoa with a deep sense of purpose — to uplift wāhine Māori through fashion.
My work blends contemporary custom couture with ancestral connection, celebrating our stories through kākahu that reflect who we are and where we come from. Each design is guided by kaupapa Māori values and a desire to reclaim space for our culture in the bridal industry.
For me, a gown is more than something you wear — it’s something you feel, something that holds memory. Each piece is created with the intention to be passed down as a taonga, carrying mana wāhine through generations.
This mahi is my way of honouring our people, our beauty, and the sacredness of our stories.
